Morocco Travel Tips: A Few Things to Know
Respect local culture Morocco is a culturally diverse and relatively conservative country. When visiting villages, markets or towns, choose comfortable clothing that isn't overly revealing.
Learn a few words A simple Salam Alaikum goes a long way and is a lovely way to greet people.
Ask before taking photographs Especially when photographing people.
Don't leave Morocco without trying fresh tagine, Moroccan salads, mint tea and local pastries.
Leave time to slow down One of the best parts of Morocco isn't ticking off a list of sights. It's sitting on a rooftop, watching the sunset, drinking mint tea and letting the day unfold.
Don’ts in Morocco
